Welcome to the Kaboodle family, Shambala!
Some news we’ve been itching to share: Shambala Festival has joined the Kaboodle family! Tickets for Shambala 2027 are on sale now via Kaboodle.
We’re big fans of what Shambala does, so this one means a lot to us. We’d like to properly introduce them, and explain how we’ll help their team and their audience get ready for another eclectic August Bank Holiday weekend.
Who are Shambala?
For more than 25 years, Shambala has turned Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens in Northamptonshire into what it calls “Adventures in Utopia”. The festival describes itself as “fiercely independent, seriously silly and radically sustainable“, and it lives up to all three.
- Fiercely independent: Shambala takes no corporate sponsorship. There are no branded stages and no big-name lager deals. The bars serve ethical drinks the team has chosen themselves. The festival has also recently become the UK’s first employee-owned festival, so the people who build Shambala each year now own it too.
- Radically sustainable: Shambala was going green long before it was fashionable. It banned plastic bottles in 2013, helped pioneer reusable cup schemes at festival bars, and has run on 100% renewable power for as long as anyone can remember. Together with its other work, these changes have cut the festival’s carbon footprint by around 90%. Many festivals now look to Shambala as the example to follow.
- Seriously silly: Shambala isn’t worthy or preachy. It’s a joyful, creative, dressing-up-box festival for people who like to discover new music. It has also been called “the best family festival in the world”. The industry has noticed as well: Shambala was named Independent Festival of the Year at the 2025 UK Festival Awards .
In other words, Shambala has been showing for a quarter of a century what a festival can be when it sticks to its values. We couldn’t be prouder to be working with them.

How we’re supporting Shambala 2027
Shambala runs on its values, so it needs a ticketing partner that respects them. Here’s how Kaboodle will support Shambala Festival 2027:
- Combined bookings from day one: Tickets, glamping, accommodation and travel extras all go on sale at the same time through a single checkout. Simpler for fans, and it gives the Shambala team a complete picture of each booking from the very start.
- Payment plans, managed end-to-end: Kaboodle runs Shambala’s split-payment options across both tickets and add-ons. We handle the instalments, reminders and admin, so the Shambala team can focus on building the festival.
- A booking experience that feels like Shambala: Our white-label booking portal keeps the whole journey in Shambala’s own look and voice. Fans get a smooth experience that feels like the festival itself, with no clunky handovers.
- Useful data and insights: Live dashboards and CRM tools give the Shambala team a clear view of how sales are going, so they can make decisions quickly and keep in touch with their audience.
- People, not just a platform: Our team has spent years working with some of the UK’s best-loved independent festivals, with our human support being held in just as high regard as our technology. We’ll work with Shambala as partners from launch day right through to gates opening and beyond.

Welcome aboard
Shambala joins a group of Kaboodle partners that includes some of the best festivals in the UK, such as Boomtown, Victorious, Mighty Hoopla and Lost Village. What we’re most excited about, though, is working with a festival that has spent 25 years proving you can do things differently and still have a brilliant time.
We’ll see you in the fields. Get your costumes ready.
