We spoke to B-town parents of children young and old. They express their concern for the safety of their children following the terror attacks in the city. Mahesh Bhatt - Father of four I don’t think I am going to be different from the rest of the country in my concern for the safety of children. The entire nation is under shock. Terrorism is not ebbing away and we have to live with it hovering above our heads. Earlier it was just the middle class and poor people that were affected but now even the upper classes that have been affected. We all have to huddle together and find a way to cope with it. Arjun Rampal - Father of two This is not the right time to talk about this because so much is happening around us. How can we be selfish and think only about ourselves? We are all safe and Mumbai is on its way back to safety. Sanjay Khan - Father and grandfather Safety of our children and us is a universal question. We are concerned about the city. We never really thought all this would happen but we are not hiding. We have to be practical as we cannot isolate ourselves from what is going on in the city. Rohit Roy - Father of one I will not be scared because being scared is giving in to the demand of the terrorists. Mumbai is as safe as any other city under terrorist threat. We will take all measures to lead a peaceful and safe life but we will not stress over where our daughter should go and how she should travel. I am not going to stop living a free life. Pooja Bedi - Mother of two These terrorists have been indiscriminate in their killings. They have killed children, old people, youngsters and famous people through random firings. As a parent I am not allowing my children to go to public places such as parks, multiplexes and malls, not even to their friend’s houses or the building compound. Nowhere is safe. Aditi Gowitrikar - Mother of two Mumbai used to be very safe but I would definitely not associate with safety going by the current scenario. I have not allowed my children to go to parks or any public place. Luckily schools are shut.
