Imperial

Imperial has been making large scale, rubbery dinosaurs since the 1970s (possibly earlier, though the earliest I have is dated 1978). They started out with some pretty wild-looking open-mouthed "Godzilla-like" dinosaurs early on, then tamed it down a bit later, making their figures appear much more realistic than they had before.

I have more stuff about Imperial on my Cretaceous Central website here: http://members.tripod.com/gi_shmo/cretaceouscentral/id14.html

Another K-Mart purchase. He's got 'Imperial 1985' stamped on his underbelly. These figures come with a tag, with some information about the animal (see additional pictures).

Imperial Brontosaurus -...

Purchased in 2005 at a K-Mart Store. This Brontosaurus (yes, it was labeled Brontosaurus, not Apatosaurus) is part of Imperial's "Jurassic Colection." These run about two dollars apiece. This figure is stamped 1985 on its underbelly.
