This beautiful steampunk bee is actually a small print made from a section of one of my larger paintings "Pluma Spectralis" showcased in beautiful miniature brass frame. To make these hand embellished necklaces I start off with a print from one of my paintings. I then set to work painting the print with metallic paints, gloss enamels and other colors to enhance the print and give it a personalized touch. I sign the back of the image and the front. The embellished print is then sealed into a beautiful brass miniature frame and hung from a lovely double black silk 18" ribbon cord. The pendant comes packaged in a pretty box and includes a signed certificate of authenticity. The back brass piece of the pendant is also signed with a scratched "chop mark" - a symbol signifying my name. CARE: These necklaces should be considered works of art and great care should be taken while wearing them. I imagine a cartoon cottage deep in the Bavarian Forest. A cuckoo clock maker lives there with his daughter. She is sweet, shy, and loves animals. This is the necklace she wears. She is unbelievably talented at repairing clocks. I have used vintage gold plated filigree leaves and a brass art nouveau pendant as the base for this sculptural steampunk piece. A mechanical garden of vintage enamel flowers and vintage watch gears emanates individuality and feminine allure. The assemblage centerpiece is accented with plastic faux rutilated quartz beads, vintage pink enamel chain, and a delicate brass strand that closely resembles a bike chain. A winding key for a grandfather clock descends from the center. This is a one of a kind creation, and it is very dear to my heart. The center pendant is 3 inches across (7.6 cm).
